Having spent too many years (and far too much money!) in the family court, I had some familiarity with the court process, the way they worked and had represented myself on a number of occasions.
However, when the ‘tempo’ was upped further, the crippling legal fees were pushing me towards greater debt. Although I have an element of self-taught legal-knowledge, as the stakes were high, I looked for a McKenzie friend.
